What is the Florida Strawberry Festival?
An infamous annual celebration in Plant City, Florida, that brings the community together to honor the region’s rich agricultural heritage and its distinction as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World.
The festival showcases the vital role strawberry farming plays in the local economy while creating a fun experience for families, farmers, and visitors to connect through fresh produce, live entertainment, and cultural experiences. The festival is rooted in tradition and serves as a platform to support local growers and small businesses, and fosters community pride, all while celebrating the sweetness of Florida’s finest strawberries.
Problem:
The current branding of the Plant City Strawberry Festival lacks cohesion and a strong visual identity, appearing outdated and hastily assembled. This diminishes the festival’s credibility and appeal, especially to broader audiences seeking authentic, high-quality cultural experiences.
Solution:
My goal was to create a festival identity that feels timeless, rooted in tradition, yet still playful and inviting. By introducing thoughtful design elements and a more sophisticated aesthetic—while still preserving the festival’s family-friendly spirit—the new branding will attract a wider, more diverse audience and position the festival as a must-visit celebration of Florida’s strawberry season.
